How a little French Bulldog named Luna inspired InnovaBlendz.
Our story
Where it all began
Our story started in 2024, with a little French Bulldog named Luna. She is impossibly cute, full of energy, and so overjoyed to meet every person and dog she encounters that her excitement quite literally gets the better of her. Like many sensitive Frenchies, she’s one of those dogs who wees a little when the world becomes just too wonderful to contain. We loved her dearly for it, but we also wanted to help her feel calmer in her own skin.
We did what any devoted dog parents would do - we tried it all. Training sessions, behaviourists, patience, and more patience. After months of effort with limited results, we decided to look in a different direction: botanicals.
A different direction
Growing up, we had always turned to rooibos and botanicals for their soothing properties and as a little extra support when needed. Their benefits were something we knew not only through tradition, but through our own lived experience. So, as we began searching for a different way to help Luna, the thought felt almost instinctive: if botanicals had been such a meaningful part of our own life, why not explore how they could support her, too?
We began researching calming botanicals, studied the literature, and formulated a homemade tea blend tailored specifically to Luna’s weight and needs, with safety and gentleness at the heart of every decision.
The change in Luna was remarkable. Friends and family noticed it before we even mentioned it - a calmer, more settled little dog who could still be every bit as joyful, just without being overwhelmed by it.
What started in our kitchen for one beloved Frenchie soon became something bigger. Friends and family wanted to try Luna’s tea for their own dogs. As they began using it and seeing the difference for themselves, the interest grew, and so did the requests for more. We realised that what had started as a little something for Luna had the potential to help many more pets, and that’s when the idea of sharing it with the world began to take shape.
And that, quite simply, is where InnovaBlendz began.
From our kitchen to yours
Built with care, curiosity and respect for nature.
With assistance from animal health specialists and nutritionists, we refined our recipe into a commercial formulation, navigated the registration process with the Department to secure our V-number, and began thinking about the wider world of natural pet care.
From there, our launch range grew to include a second herbal tea blend, botanical shampoos, conditioners, and balms - each one developed with the same care, curiosity, and respect for nature’s quiet power. We believe that the goodness of nature is meant to be unlocked, gently and thoughtfully, and shared with the animals with whom we share our lives.
Every product we make is formulated with Luna in mind, built on a foundation of botanical extracts and natural ingredients.
