In September, the Innovablendz team had the pleasure of attending the African Pet Health Summit and All-Natural Pet Health Expo in Stellenbosch, and what a wonderful experience it was!
Held at the Protea Hotel Stellenbosch from 19–20 September 2026, the event brought together veterinary professionals, pet health experts, researchers, pet parents and some truly passionate people from across the animal wellness industry.
The Summit created a space for conversations around natural and integrative pet health, with topics ranging from nutrition and gut health to preventative care, herbal support, longevity and the importance of looking at an animal’s overall wellbeing.
And for us? There was so much to take in!
Learning, connecting & discovering
One of our favourite parts of the experience was simply being surrounded by people who share the same passion for improving the lives of animals.
There was so much to learn, so many interesting conversations to be had and plenty of new perspectives to take home with us. It was particularly exciting to hear more about the latest research, developments and approaches within the pet health space, and to see just how much the industry continues to grow and evolve.
We also loved meeting and interacting with other local brands, discovering what they are working on, hearing the stories behind their businesses and exchanging ideas. There is something really special about connecting with fellow South African businesses that are equally passionate about creating better options for our pets.
A changing world of pet wellness
Pet parents are becoming more curious, asking more questions and taking a greater interest in what goes into their pets’ bodies, how their products are made and what they can do to support their animals’ overall wellbeing.
We’re seeing a growing interest in preventative care, better nutrition, natural and botanical ingredients, gut health and a more holistic approach to pet wellness.
This is an important movement to be part of, and one that we believe deserves attention. It also reminds us why staying informed, keeping up with industry developments and continuously learning are so important as a brand in this space.
At Innovablendz, we believe there is always room to learn, grow and do better. We want to understand the industry we are part of, stay curious about new developments and continue creating products with thought, care and purpose.
A big thank you to the African Pet Health Summit and We Love Pets SA for bringing together such a wonderful community and creating a space for these important conversations. Events like these remind us that we’re part of something bigger than just individual brands and products. We’re part of a growing community of people who want to see animals live happier, healthier lives.
